January 5 - 12

SEEK is a season at Seeds where we intentionally minimize the distractions and normal routines in our lives to hear God’s voice better and focus on what He is saying and doing. When we turn down the volume in our day-to-day lives, it has the supernatural effect of turning up the volume of God’s voice.

SEEK is an intensified season of corporate prayer and our next one is happening January 5 - 12. As a church, we believe in the transformative power of prayer, and during this week, we are intentionally setting aside time to seek the Lord together.

SEEK is designed for everyone. It doesn’t matter if you’re brand new to Seeds, if you’ve participated in SEEK before, if you’re young or old, if you’re single or married with kids—we want you to be part of it.

What to Expect

During this SEEK Week, there will be a live corporate gathering every day where we can unite our hearts and voices, following the example of the Early Church in Acts.

On the two Sundays and the one Wednesday, we will gather here at Seeds during our regularly scheduled service times. For the other five days of Seek, we have some hospitable families in the church that are opening up their homes for an evening, one-hour prayer gathering.

When you arrive at one of our host homes, we will have a brief time of fellowship and then move into a time of worship. After our singing, one of our designated prayer leaders will introduce a specific prayer focus for the evening and provide a handout with Scriptures to accompany the prayer focus.

This is more than just an event; it’s a chance to strengthen our muscle of corporate prayer and pass on this vital practice to the next generation. So dads and moms, bring your children along—let’s model what it means to be a praying church. Together, let’s seek God with expectation and faith, believing for His presence to move mightily in our midst.

PRAYER FOCUS:
THe lost & Prodigals

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts burdened for those who are far from You. Lord, You are the Good Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to seek the one that is lost. You are the loving Father who watches and waits for prodigals to return home. Your desire is that none should perish but that all should come to repentance.

Father, we lift up the lost to You. We ask that You would soften their hearts, open their eyes to the truth, and draw them to Yourself by the power of Your Spirit. Break through the lies and deceptions of the enemy that blind them to the light of the Gospel. Replace their despair and wandering with hope and purpose found only in Jesus Christ.

We pray for those who have known Your love but have strayed from the path of righteousness. Lord, call them back to You. Let them remember the joy of their salvation and the safety of being in Your presence. Stir within them a hunger for the truth and a longing for reconciliation with You.

Give us, Your people, boldness and compassion to share the Good News of Jesus with those who do not know You. Help us to be faithful ambassadors, speaking the truth in love and living as shining lights in a dark world. May our words and actions reflect Your heart and lead others to encounter Your grace and mercy.

Lord, we also pray for endurance in prayer. Remind us that no one is beyond Your reach and that Your love pursues relentlessly. Help us to stand firm in faith, interceding for the salvation of those we love and for the harvest of souls in our communities and around the world.

We trust in Your power to save, restore, and redeem. You are the God who brings beauty from ashes and joy from mourning. We believe that You will bring the lost home, and we rejoice in advance for the lives that will be transformed by Your grace.

In the powerful name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

SCRIPTURES

2 Peter 3:9 - "The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent."

1 Timothy 2:3-4 - "This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth."

Ezekiel 34:16 - "I will search for my lost ones who strayed away, and I will bring them safely home again. I will bandage the injured and strengthen the weak…”

Romans 10:1 - "Dear brothers and sisters, the longing of my heart and my prayer to God is for the people of Israel to be saved."

2 Corinthians 4:4 - "Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God."

Matthew 9:36-38 - "When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. He said to his disciples, 'The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.'"

Luke 19:10 - "For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost."

Jeremiah 24:7 - "I will give them hearts that recognize me as the Lord. They will be my people, and I will be their God, for they will return to me wholeheartedly."

Isaiah 49:6 - "He says, 'You will do more than restore the people of Israel to me. I will make you a light to the Gentiles, and you will bring my salvation to the ends of the earth.'"

Luke 15:4-7 - "If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he will joyfully carry it home on his shoulders. When he arrives, he will call together his friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.’ In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away!”

Luke 15:20-24 - "So he returned home to his father. And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him. His son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against both heaven and you, and I am no longer worthy of being called your son.’ But his father said to the servants, ‘Quick! Bring the finest robe in the house and put it on him. Get a ring for his finger and sandals for his feet. And kill the calf we have been fattening. We must celebrate with a feast, for this son of mine was dead and has now returned to life. He was lost, but now he is found.’ So the party began."

John 3:16-17 - "For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.”

PRAYER FOCUS:
Living Spirit Empowered

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, we are hungry for Your presence and power. You have called us to a mission greater than ourselves—the mission of the Gospel. We acknowledge that we cannot carry out this work in our own strength. We need Your Holy Spirit to fill us, guide us, and empower us to live boldly for Your kingdom.

Holy Spirit, come and have Your way in us. Fill us with Your presence and equip us for the work You have set before us. Empower us to be Your witnesses, sharing the Good News with boldness and conviction. Remove any fear, doubt, or hesitation, and replace it with confidence in Your power working through us.

Lord, teach us to walk in step with Your Spirit, to be sensitive to Your leading in every moment. Let our lives bear the fruit of the Spirit so that we may reflect Christ to the world around us.

Strengthen us to resist the distractions and temptations of this world. Keep our focus fixed on the mission You have given us, that we would live as disciples who make disciples. Use our words, actions, and lives to declare Your glory and draw others to You.

Father, we ask for the gifts of the Spirit to flow freely among us, that we may build up the church and reach the lost and make them into disciples. Give us wisdom, discernment, and courage to speak the truth in love. Let Your Spirit anoint our efforts and breathe life into every word we speak and every act of service we perform.

Lord, we surrender ourselves to You, asking that You fill us afresh with Your Spirit. Empower us to live with unwavering faith and passion for the Gospel. May we shine as lights in this world, bringing hope, healing, and the message of salvation to all who need You.

We offer this prayer in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

SCRIPTURES

Zechariah 4:6 - "Then he said to me, 'This is what the Lord says to Zerubbabel: It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.'"

Luke 4:18-19 - “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come."

1 Corinthians 12:7-11 - "A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other. To one person the Spirit gives the ability to give wise advice; to another the same Spirit gives a message of special knowledge. The same Spirit gives great faith to another, and to someone else the one Spirit gives the gift of healing. He gives one person the power to perform miracles, and another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the ability to discern whether a message is from the Spirit of God or from another spirit. Still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages, while another is given the ability to interpret what is being said. It is the one and only Spirit who distributes all these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have."

Romans 8:26-27 - "And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will."

Matthew 10:19-20 - "When you are arrested, don’t worry about how to respond or what to say. God will give you the right words at the right time. For it is not you who will be speaking—it will be the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.”

PRAYER FOCUS:
Living mission Focused

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that You have called us to a greater purpose—to live for Your glory and to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Thank You for entrusting us with the mission of the Gospel, and for choosing us to be Your hands and feet in this world.

Lord, we ask for Your help to remain focused on the mission You have given us. Keep us from being distracted by the cares of this world, the pursuit of worldly pleasures, selfish ambition, or difficult circumstances. Fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, so that we may run the race You have set before us with perseverance and faithfulness.

Give us hearts that are fully surrendered to You, seeking first Your kingdom and Your righteousness. Help us to live as disciples who are fully committed to following Jesus, growing in our faith, and helping others to do the same. Let us never lose sight of the urgency of the Gospel and the great harvest that is before us.

Empower us with boldness by Your Holy Spirit to share the hope and truth of Christ with those who do not yet know You. Fill us with compassion for the lost, and give us the courage to step out in faith, trusting that You will go before us and equip us for every good work.

Lord, remind us that our lives are not our own—we have been bought with a price. Help us to live as ambassadors for Christ, shining as lights in a dark world, and pointing others to the saving grace of Jesus. Strengthen us to persevere when challenges arise, knowing that our labor in You is never in vain.

We commit ourselves to living mission-focused lives, laying aside every distraction and offering all that we are for Your glory. May we faithfully fulfill the Great Commission in our generation, making disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey all that You have commanded.

We pray this in the name of Jesus, our Savior and King. Amen.

SCRIPTURES

Matthew 28:18-20 - “Jesus came and told his disciples, ‘I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’”

Galatians 6:9 - “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.”

1 Corinthians 15:58 - “So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.”

2 Corinthians 5:20 - “So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, 'Come back to God!’"

Romans 10:14-15 - “But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, 'How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!’"

Acts 20:24 - “But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.”

1 Peter 3:15 - “Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it.”

Colossians 1:28-29 - “So we tell others about Christ, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all the wisdom God has given us. We want to present them to God, perfect in their relationship to Christ. That’s why I work and struggle so hard, depending on Christ’s mighty power that works within me.”

John 4:34-38 - “Then Jesus explained: ‘My nourishment comes from doing the will of God, who sent me, and from finishing his work. You know the saying, ‘Four months between planting and harvest.’ But I say, wake up and look around. The fields are already ripe for harvest. The harvesters are paid good wages, and the fruit they harvest is people brought to eternal life. What joy awaits both the planter and the harvester alike! You know the saying, ‘One plants and another harvests.’ And it’s true. I sent you to harvest where you didn’t plant; others had already done the work, and now you will get to gather the harvest.’”

Isaiah 6:8 - “Then I heard the Lord asking, 'Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?' I said, 'Here I am. Send me.’”

We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed. He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.”

Philippians 3:13-14 - “No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.”

1 John 2:15-17 - “Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.”

Hebrews 12:1-2 - “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.”

We offer ourselves to You, Lord, and commit to growing in maturity as disciples of Christ. May our lives bring glory to Your name and expand Your kingdom.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

SCRIPTURES

2 Peter 3:18 - “Rather, you must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All glory to him, both now and forever! Amen.”

Colossians 1:9-10 - “So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.”

Ephesians 4:14-15 - “Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church.”

Philippians 1:9-11 - “I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding. For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ’s return. John 15:4-5 - “Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me. Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing."

Romans 12:1-2 - “And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect."

2 Corinthians 3:18 - “So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image."

PRAYER FOCUS:
CONSECRATION & SANCTIFICATION

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that You are holy and perfect in all Your ways. You have called us to be set apart, to live as Your chosen people, and to reflect Your holiness in every area of our lives. Lord, we respond to Your call and offer ourselves to You today.

Create in us clean hearts, O God, and renew steadfast spirits within us. Search our hearts and reveal anything that offends You. Cleanse us from sin, purify our motives, and transform us by the power of Your Spirit. We want to live as vessels for honorable use, set apart and ready for every good work that brings glory to Your name.

Teach us to walk in Your ways and to live with a deep awareness of Your greatness and majesty. Help us to resist conformity to this world and to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. Sanctify us by Your truth; Your Word is truth.

Lord, if we have been distracted by the cares of this world and have failed to fully commit ourselves to You, forgive us and renew our devotion. Help us to fix our eyes on Jesus and to live lives that are pleasing in Your sight.

Fill us with Your Spirit, empowering us to live in righteousness and holiness. Consecrate us for Your purposes, Lord, and use us to proclaim the excellencies of Your name and to shine as lights in this world. We surrender all we are to You, holding nothing back. Let our lives be a testimony of Your power to save and transform. May we walk in the fullness of Your grace and bring glory to Your name, now and forever.

In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

SCRIPTURES

Leviticus 20:7-8 — “So set yourselves apart to be holy, for I am the Lord your God. Keep all my decrees by putting them into practice, for I am the Lord who makes you holy.”

Psalm 139:23-24 — “Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life."

Hebrews 10:10 — “For God’s will was for us to be made holy by the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all time.”

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 — “Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.”

Ephesians 4:22-24 — "Throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.”

Colossians 3:1-3 — "Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.”

1 Peter 1:15-16 — "But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy. For the Scriptures say, 'You must be holy because I am holy.’"

Titus 2:11-14 — "For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed. He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds."

Psalm 51:10 — Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.

1 Peter 2:9 — But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

Joshua 3:5 — Then Joshua said to the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.”

Romans 6:17-23 —  But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed, and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness. I am speaking in human terms, because of your natural limitations. For just as you once presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness leading to sanctification. For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. But what fruit were you getting at that time from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

2 Timothy 2:20-21 — Now in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver but also of wood and clay, some for honorable use, some for dishonorable. Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.

1 Thessalonians 5:23 — Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

John 17:17 — Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.

2 Thessalonians 2:13 — But we ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers beloved by the Lord, because God chose you as the firstfruits to be saved, through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth.

PRAYER FOCUS:
PASSION FOR GOD AND HIS KINGDOM

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, we come before You with reverence and awe, acknowledging that You alone are holy, majestic, and preeminent. You are the Creator of all things, the King of kings, and the Lord of lords. Your glory fills the heavens, and Your greatness is beyond our comprehension. We stand in awe of You.

Stir our hearts with passion for You. Help us to increase our hunger and thirst for righteousness, just as a deer pants for streams of water. Let Your Word burn within us like fire, burning with a deep conviction to follow You wholeheartedly. We pray for a holy zeal that will not be quenched—a fervent love that compels us to worship, obey, and serve You with all that we are.

Teach us the fear of the Lord. Help us to live with an awareness of Your greatness, power and authority. May we tremble at Your Word and honor You in all we do, seeking first Your kingdom and Your righteousness.

If we have allowed the cares of this world to distract us and grown complacent in our devotion to You, forgive us and renew our commitment to walk in faithfulness. We ask that You would deepen our conviction and strengthen our resolve to live for Your glory. Transform us by the power of Your Spirit so that we may reflect Your holiness and shine as lights in this world. Let our lives bear witness to the greatness of Your name and the power of Your love.

Fill us with Your Spirit, that we may live with passion, conviction, and unwavering faith, declaring Your goodness to all who will hear. We offer ourselves to You as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing in Your sight. May our lives bring glory to Your name, now and forever.

In the mighty name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
