OPEN HEARTS TO THE GOSPEL DURING THE CHRISTMAS SEASON
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of Jesus, Your Son, who came to save us and to bring light into a dark world. This Christmas season, we ask for Your Spirit to move powerfully in our community, our families, and our nation.
Lord, we pray for open hearts to receive the good news of Jesus Christ. Remove the hardness, the distractions, and the barriers that keep people from understanding the depth of Your love. Replace hearts of stone with hearts of flesh, ready to respond to the Gospel.
Father, we lift up those who are lost, who are wandering without hope or purpose. Draw them to Yourself, for You are not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. Open their eyes to see the light of Christ and their ears to hear the truth of Your Word.
We pray for boldness and clarity for our church as we share and demonstrate the Gospel this season. Anoint the words of preachers, teachers, family members, and friends who will speak of the hope we have in Christ. Let the message of salvation be proclaimed with love, grace, and power.
Lord, we ask that You prepare every heart for divine appointments. Let Your people be sensitive to opportunities to show kindness, extend an invitation, or share a testimony. Use us to bring others to know the joy of Jesus.
Holy Spirit, we ask for a great harvest this Christmas. Let this be a season of salvation, where many come to bow before the manger and the cross, confessing Jesus as Lord and Savior. Fill Your church with new believers, overflowing with the joy of their salvation.
We trust You, Lord, to do exceedingly, abundantly more than we can ask or imagine. All glory and honor belong to You alone, now and forever.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Opportunities for Evangelism During Christmas
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank You for the incredible gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who came to bring salvation, hope, and eternal life to all who believe. As we celebrate His birth this Christmas season, we are reminded of the good news that has changed our lives, and we are eager to share it with others.
Lord, we lift up our Christmas production, "Christmas Letters," to You. Bless every detail of this event—the songs, testimonies, and messages of Your love and faithfulness. May each story shared touch hearts deeply and draw many closer to You. We ask that Your Spirit prepare the hearts of those who will attend, softening them to receive the truth of Your love and salvation. Let this production be a beacon of light and hope in our community, pointing everyone to Jesus.
We pray for our Sunday morning services throughout December. Anoint every sermon, every worship song, and every interaction as opportunities for people to encounter You. May those who attend, whether members or visitors, be filled with a sense of Your presence and a hunger to know You more. Use these gatherings to equip us as a church to boldly share the gospel wherever we go.
We also lift up our Christmas Eve service to You. This is such a special time when hearts are often open to hearing the message of Christ. We ask for Your Spirit to move powerfully in that service. Let it be a moment of deep reflection, joy, and salvation for those who attend. May families be restored, burdens be lifted, and faith be renewed.
Father, we recognize that opportunities for evangelism are not limited to events at church. We pray for boldness and sensitivity to Your leading as we go about our everyday lives in our community. Open doors for us to share Your love with our neighbors, coworkers, friends, and even strangers. Let our lives reflect Your light so brightly that people are drawn to ask about the hope we have in Christ. Help us to see and seize divine appointments to share the gospel this season.
We ask for courage, creativity, and compassion as we share the message of Christmas—the message of Emmanuel, God with us. Empower us to live as Your witnesses in every moment, proclaiming the good news with joy and confidence.
Lord, we entrust this season to You. May every service, every production, and every personal interaction bring You glory and expand Your kingdom. Let this Christmas be a time of great harvest as people come to know You as their Savior and King.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Faithfulness of believers
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank you for redeeming us by Your grace and calling us as Your people. We acknowledge Your faithfulness, which never wavers and never fails. Thank You for being our firm foundation, our rock, and our refuge in every season of life.
Lord, we ask for forgiveness for when we have loved comfort more than obedience, convenience more than sacrifice, and our own plans more than Your will. We do not want busyness, distractions, and selfish desires to pull our hearts away from You. We do not want to place our trust in earthly things. Instead, we place our turst in Your eternal promises.
We pray for a renewed focus on Your kingdom. Help us to seek first Your righteousness and trust that all we need will be provided by Your hand. Strengthen us to live faithfully to Your call, walking in love, humility, and unwavering devotion to You. Teach us to delight in Your Word, to be fervent in prayer, and to bear the fruit of the Spirit in every aspect of our lives.
Holy Spirit, fill us with the power to remain steadfast in trials, to resist the pull of the world, and to press on toward the prize of our high calling in Christ. Let us be faithful stewards of the gifts You have entrusted to us, whether great or small. May we stand boldly as witnesses of Your truth, sharing the light of Jesus in a dark and weary world.
Lord, give us hearts that are undivided, fully devoted to You. Remind us daily that we are citizens of heaven and that our hope is anchored in eternity. May we, as Your church, be a reflection of Your love and faithfulness, bringing glory to Your name in all that we do.
We commit ourselves to You, today and every day. Strengthen us, refine us, and use us for Your kingdom purposes. We love You, and we give You all the honor, all the glory, and all the praise.
In Jesus’ mighty name we pray. Amen.

Teach us to care for one another in a way that glorifies You and draws others to the beauty of life in Christ.
Lord, we thank You for the many gifts You have given us and ask that You empower each of us to serve wholeheartedly. Teach us to use our gifts wisely and steward them for Your glory, knowing that each act of service is an opportunity to demonstrate Your grace to others.
Finally, Lord, we pray for boldness and courage in sharing Your gospel. Let our church be a beacon of hope to those who do not yet know You. Open doors for us to speak Your truth with love and conviction. Empower us to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ, that all who hear may be reconciled to You. May we be faithful ambassadors, representing Your love and truth to the world around us.

In this moment of tragedy, we call on You to bring comfort, provision, and peace to those whose lives have been devastated by this storm.
For the first responders, we ask for Your divine protection and strength as they serve with courage and compassion. Grant them endurance and wisdom as they work tirelessly to save lives and bring relief to those in need.
For the volunteers, Lord, bless their hands and hearts as they serve selflessly. May they be instruments of Your love, offering hope to the weary and help to the vulnerable.
For the churches in the affected areas, we pray that they would shine brightly as beacons of hope and restoration. Empower pastors and leaders to provide spiritual, emotional, and physical support, offering the love of Christ in both word and deed.
For the government officials and leaders, we ask for wisdom and discernment as they make critical decisions about disaster relief and recovery efforts. Guide them to use their authority and resources for the good of the people, bringing resources and solutions quickly and efficiently.
For those who are missing, Lord, we plead for Your mercy. Comfort their loved ones with the hope that You are the God who sees all things. We pray for reunions and miraculous recoveries, that those separated by the storm would be found and restored to their families.
For those who have lost loved ones, we ask for Your gentle comfort and peace. Hold them close in their grief, and remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted. Let them find solace in Your unfailing love.
For those who have lost homes, businesses, and livelihoods, we pray for Your provision and restoration. We know that You are the God who supplies all our needs. Open doors for rebuilding and renewal, and surround them with communities of support to lift them up in this difficult time.
And Lord, in the midst of this tragedy, we pray that hearts would be turned to You. May those who do not yet know Jesus as Lord and Savior find hope, peace, and salvation in Him. Use this circumstance to open eyes to Your goodness and grace. We pray for a harvest of souls as people surrender their lives to Jesus and trust in Him for eternal life and comfort in the midst of their pain. Let the light of Christ shine in the darkness, leading many to the saving knowledge of Your Son.
Lord, in the face of this tragedy, we trust in Your sovereign power and loving presence. Even in the midst of devastation, we know that You are working all things together for good. Strengthen us as we pray, give us hearts to act, and let Your glory be revealed in the recovery and healing that will follow.
We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.\

We thank You that Your Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path, guiding us through every situation. REFINED BY FIRE
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, we come to You, acknowledging that You are the Refiner of my soul. As Your Word says, “I have refined you, though not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction” (Isaiah 48:10). Lord, purify our hearts and remove anything that is not of You. Test us and refine us like silver and gold (Zechariah 13:9), so that our faith may shine stronger and purer.
When the trials come, help us remember that “when You have tested me, I will come forth as gold” (Job 23:10). Strengthen us through Your refining fire, and help us trust that You are with us through it all (Isaiah 43:2). Let our lives reflect Your glory.
In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
SCRIPTURES
Isaiah 48:10 (NLT)
"I have refined you, but not as silver is refined. Rather, I have refined you in the furnace of suffering."
Zechariah 13:9 (NLT)
"I will bring that group through the fire and make them pure. I will refine them like silver and purify them like gold. They will call on my name, and I will answer them. I will say, ‘These are my people,’ and they will say, ‘The Lord is our God.’"
Malachi 3:2-3 (NLT)
"But who will be able to endure it when he comes? Who will be able to stand and face him when he appears? For he will be like a blazing fire that refines metal, or like a strong soap that bleaches clothes. He will sit like a refiner of silver, burning away the dross. He will purify the Levites, refining them like gold and silver, so that they may once again offer acceptable sacrifices to the Lord."
1 Peter 1:6-7 (NLT)
"So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world."
Psalm 66:10-12 (NLT)
"You have tested us, O God; you have purified us like silver. You captured us in your net and laid the burden of slavery on our backs. Then you put a leader over us. We went through fire and flood, but you brought us to a place of great abundance."

"But he knows where I am going. And when he tests me, I will come out as pure as gold."
Revelation 3:18 (NLT)

James 1:2-4 (NLT)
"Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing."
Daniel 12:10 (NLT)
"Many will be purified, cleansed, and refined by these trials. But the wicked will continue in their wickedness, and none of them will understand. Only those who are wise will know what it means."
2 Corinthians 4:16-17 (NLT)
"That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!"
Hebrews 12:10-11 (NLT)
"For our earthly fathers disciplined us for a few years, doing the best they knew how. But God’s discipline is always good for us, so that we might share in his holiness. No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way."
